We’re Coming Home… Eventually

On this, our 300th day of travel, we announce with mixed feelings of excitement and dread, our homecoming.

We have officially booked our tickets back to our homeland.

Leaving from Wellington, New Zealand, we hope to arrive in Minneapolis, MN on March 19, 2015.

After several days with family and friends in the Twin Cities, Fargo, and Minot, we’ll make our way back to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and proceed to resume some semblance of a normal life again.

In the mean time, our rough itinerary will take us out of Vietnam and into Cambodia, followed by Chiang Mai, Thailand and Myanmar (Burma).

On Christmas day, we fly to Sydney, Australia, then up to the Gold Coast for a 3-week house sit.

Naturally, the next stop will be a quick jump over to New Zealand where we’ll spend the better part of two months camping, hiking, exploring, and preparing for our return to normalcy.

Stay tuned for more stories and photos and we look forward to seeing everyone soon-ish.

  1. we spent a month in NZ in March of 2012. If you want some ideas for some things we liked, let me know. I have it all journaled!! We did north and South Island, south being our favorite. We backpacked, stayed in hostels and surged on a few things we loved to do. We also spent 3 days I. Sydney just walking the city and staying in a great hostel close to all the harbors and opera house. Best experience ever!!

  2. That sounds awesome! We will happily take suggestions. We will message you on FB. Great to hear from you!
