After three amazing dives in Koh Tao, Thailand, we had the chance to cliff jump at one of the dive sites. It was a beautiful day on the ocean and the scenery was gorgeous.

Marketing Slogan: “It’s more fun in the Philippines.” Although intended to entice tourists, this coined phrase, in my opinion, is fully true.
a few days in Bangkok
We must have good timing, because we got to Bangkok during some of the worst of the shutdown and protest rallies. For those that don’t follow world news, this was during a rather unsettled time in Thailand’s capital city. Of course we purchased our tickets to Bangkok a few months prior, long before the shutdown and protests occurred.
comfort rooms of the Philippines
Toilets in the Philippines are known as comfort rooms. They are quite unique and VERY basic. I do not know where the name originated, but my logical conclusion is that it’s a room we can physically take comfort in. That’s just a guess, since these rooms are not what many would consider “comfortable”.

Through a friend we were told of an epic journey called Tao Philippines. The Tao expedition is an adventure through the Palawan islands of the Philippines on a banka boat. It is not a typical all-inclusive beach vacation, a wait-on-you-hand-and-foot resort, or a massive overcrowded cruise ship.

a place where time doesn’t matter
Back in our Denver apartment, we had at least four clocks hanging on our walls. We had two alarm clocks and two smart phones to wake us up, time displayed on the dashboards of our cars, phones in our pockets, and roadside clocks on signs nearly everywhere we went.
