We must have good timing, because we got to Bangkok during some of the worst of the shutdown and protest rallies. For those that don’t follow world news, this was during a rather unsettled time in Thailand’s capital city. Of course we purchased our tickets to Bangkok a few months prior, long before the shutdown and protests occurred.

This was truly a one-of-a-kind experience. The size and gracefulness of these creatures was amazing to behold at such close proximity.
